Which won’t matter at all, unless Germany – and NATO in general – learn from the modern warfare that Ukraine is teaching us all. Cheap drones and smart long-distance weaponry is the future.
Everything has changed, and having the Ukrainians inside NATO and teaching us what they have learned will be crucial.
TÜV and Bureactrats say:
NO!
Division, singular?
On paper? Or for real?
I congratulate our German friends by 2030 you will match the peacetime ground forces strength of the idf theoretically.
Stop building big ships they are useless for your strategic security the only thing you need more of in your navy is submarines and commando forces.
Also German air power should at least have 150% over the French considering the relative geopolitical position of Germany and France you need a stronger air force.
Also lots of artillery and air defense everywhere on every level
The German army should be able to withstand a Russian attack with only polish Czech and Dutch support available on short notice.
Good, this suits our role as the major economic power in the EU. But i am always skeptical when the Bundesregierung promises improvements for the Bundeswehr. The money always ends up in the pockets of consultants
