Landlord has put a post to block road access to building – what can I do?

  1. today I noticed that the agency that manages the building I live in, has put a tiny metal post to block the way to the building. People used this in order to stop in front of the building for deliveries, work, or simply to unload heavy things.

I asked the Hauswart who was mounting it if we’re going to have a way to lower it when we need to, he said no – the agency wants it to be only for moving in and moving out.

The way is about 60 meters with a slight uphill. 99% of the days I won’t care but those 2 times a year when I have to carry something heavy, it’s going to be a pain.

Before starting a discussion with the agency or contacting the Mieterverband (I’m a member yay) I would like to know what the legal situation around this might be. Do I have some sort of right to use this road? Do I have a way to make pressure because I was able to until now? Can I ask for a rent reduction because this home is now less comfortable?

Also just curious: I could technically drive over the grass depending on weather. What would a possible fine be for doing so? There’s no sign telling me I can’t but common sense tells me I shouldn’t. Curious anyways.
