7. I absolutely wouldn’t want to deny anyone the right to call their father on their birthday, but this does make me wonder about safety. Isn’t cell phone communication under these circumstances to be limited to an absolute minimum in order not to endanger one’s trench mates? What about giving away positions through cell phone signals and triangulation?

12. What a fkin bad idea. Imagine actually hearing your son die at anytime, nevermind while he’s phoning you to say happy birthday? Personally, it would haunt me for the rest of my life.
