1. It’s what Russia does, makes threats to try to hold people over a barrel. War (well that doesn’t go so well when people push back). Nukes (also doesn’t work so well when your that’s are empty). Fuel (doesn’t work so well when people find alternatives).

   Food won’t work so well either.

   All Russia is getting out of this is an ever increasing list of war crimes. Shameful pathetic little people.

2. Which is an immensely stupid strategy as deliberately causing a famine in neutral countries is just about the best way to make them cease being neutral.

   Like, this country that’s barely holding on in its current war is deliberately taking action to starve millions of our people. Better do nothing about it. I mean, they’re basically forcing the hand of the affected countries to declare war and secure their food source. They literally won’t have any choice.

   For the last few weeks, it’s been increasingly clear that Russia wouldn’t renew the grain deal. Turkey has emerged as a possible partner to escort Ukrainian grain out.

5. Why, why is Putin doing all of this…. is this out of a complex of a single man? There are wars that are more unnecessary than others. This war has absolutely no fucking reason whatsoever. I don’t get it. Honestly. If you want to go into history books, why didn’t Putin just open up Russia economically, socially, culturally. This country could be one of the richest, most beautiful countries on earth. Imagine a european society with that landscape and resources. Amazing. Instead they chose to stay brainless orcs slaughtering innocent women and children, and torture brave ukrainian soldiers and civil men.

6. Well, they’ve already played the invasion game, war crime game and genocide game, so hunger game is nothing for the Kremlin barbarians.

8. It’s time US naval ships protect the grain ships the way they patrol around Africa to defend against pirates.

9. Continue the shipments but protect the harbor and cargo ships with NATO vessels. What’s Russia gonna do? They can’t even handle Ukraine alone, much less NATO so they have two options. Attack and learn what a “3 day special military operation” looks like or stay put and not be able to do anything other than whine about it.
