I only need an internet box in my new place but don’t get what all of this is for. Does it mean that I can get rid of all the old sockets which have 5 holes in it and are in the walls?
This is how your taxes get stolen from you. One cable for every government.
Bottom one is the incoming coax, the one above is for the modem and the other 4 are outputs. There are probably 4 tv connections in the house. If you disconnect the unnecessary outputs I would suggest to terminate them with a resistor as it can cause interference.

First random link on Google: https://www.allekabels.be/f-connector/125/494/afsluitweerstand.html
Edit: If you only need one TV and no internet (via cable) you can connect the incoming coax directly to the needed output with e.g. https://www.allekabels.be/f-connector/125/1293886/f-connector-koppelstuk.html
Do note that some of the outputs are amplified so you might be better off leaving the NIU.
Yet another edit… I missed that you only need internet. You can disconnect all but the bottom 2, and terminate the outputs.
