Aren’t Serbia and Hungary on the new Turkstream pipeline, both with long-term contracts.
What exactly is happening there?
I, for one, welcome our new cheap and affordable silesian overlords. All hail the mighty Silesian Coal, the energy source of the past AND the future.
Why France is so expensive? They get 70% from nuclear and only about 2% from gas, so they should more or less unaffected by gas shortages. And yet somehow France has most expensive energy.
how is france so expensive? they have lots of nuclear
did czechia evaporate within the past few days?
Great idea to shut own power plants. Thanks german government.
At this point I just grew accustomed to live at max 18C. This price increase is going to hit us hard
Waiting for the nuclear fan boys to come up with a very smart justification why prices in France are the highest.
Just grabbed a comfy chair.
Greece has Balkan salaries and central european electricity prices, on top of that, they are forced to pay random taxes through the electricity bill. Yes, taxes. Greeks need to pay the public television tax (even if they don’t own a tv) they also need to pay a tax for providing power to the immigrants & camps.
So if a Greek doesn’t pay these taxes they are deprived of their basic needs such as electicity to their home.
Also, nobody is responsible for estimating consumption accurately. They just calculate charges based on previous years’ consumption. It won’t matter if we even move to another house and use 0KW. The charge will be the same as last year. If someone has been stealing power from our house, these can also pile up and when the random check eventually comes, they will overcharge by hundreds or thousands and accept no dispute, practically destroying low income families irreversibly.
Are people actually paying those prices?
In Finland 92% of households have fixed price electricity deals. I make 2 year deals for my electricity and price per kWh stays same for those 2 years.
Are this kind of fixed deals as common in other EU countries?
This is getting silly, yesterday it was 20€ and tomorrow it’s 465€ here in Southern Sweden… 🤔
Why no data on Czechoslovakia?
Does Ireland not have an energy price
Seems like most people don’t understand what exactly this map shows.
Time to bring the furnace back
What kind of map is this that leaves out vital countries
Woah there’s so much dis- and mis-information in the comments of this post, it’s amazing. People that don’t know how merit order works posting their conspiracies and assumptions on something they don’t understand. Why, just why?
Poland stronk again!
I go to Poland.jpg
Switzerland you ok?
I love how in 2012 people in Europe were talking about an energy independent Europe that won’t be affected by external factors. Empty words for virtue signalling.
i didn‘t know my country has sea access
I go to poland
Wtf happened to Italy?
This is a designed disaster. Replacing coal and nuclear power with wind and solar power leads to far more unreliable power generation, which in turn increases demand for gas (to provide power whenever there is no wind or sun). At the same time, though, the EU is working to reduce gas supply through “green” finance reforms. It’s all completely bonkers and based on fairy tale beliefs.
