Children waiting over a year for NHS tooth removal

  1. I can’t have been the only one to have ripped out my own milk teeth? The blood was awful but the relief was good.

  2. Seems to me more like a parenting problem than an NHS problem. If parents made sure the kids were brushing their teeth, they wouldn’t need removals.

Do they still do that weird stain you swill after brushing that tells you where you need to do more? More of that is needed!

Back when I was a lad, you’d spend half the day eating sweets and fizzy drinks with real sugar in. And the other half bouncing off the walls of the park. Then indoors for tooth brushing and bed. And I think I had maybe 2 fillings in milk teeth.

Also, why do kids need GA for milk teeth removal? I wasn’t offered GA for any of my wisdom teeth, which 2 took over half an hour each and the dentist was dripping with sweat and had to take a recovery break half way through. (I should have had them all out but he was so tired he left the last one for another appointment, and I never went back) Surely milk teeth are intended to just drop out, aren’t they???

  3. By this point, it would be quicker for their teeth to fall out.
