We continue to tell you about the B50 Shelters project, that brings color to the places where children should be during air raids. The bomb shelter in the village of Hornostaipil near Chornobyl was equipped by the lyceum themselves, and we helped to decorate it!

One of our projects, [Shelters](https://b50.com.ua/en/activities-en/care-en/shelters-en/), helps to decorate dull and gray bomb shelters in schools and kindergartens. Since children spend a lot of time there, when the country is under air raid alert, we want them to study and play in bright and not scary rooms.
This time we helped in the village of Hornostaipil, just 30 km from Chornobyl. The village was under blockade for 40 days, russians did not allow a humanitarian corridor until the village was liberated by the AFU. This village is located far away from the rest of the population centers. The lyceum here has 212 students and 30 preschoolers.
The lyceum had equipped a bomb shelter, but it looked a bit “office-style,” so they decided to add a bit of bright abstraction. In just 2 Saturdays, the team filled 2 rooms of the shelter with colors.
Join in and help us turn these shelters into places of not only safety but also comfort and magic for children.
