  1. Might have to wait to see more evidence than 1 video to get excited about this story.

If stocks are coming from ‘private owners’ then numbers will be low, quality could be poor, and commonality of engines and equipment will be a problem. If true, lets hope it’s the Jordanian stock, with modern engines and great number.

  2. A joke common among British operators of the day was that the Chieftain tank was the world’s best fighting vehicle provided it broke down exactly where it was needed on the battlefield.

I am a car enthusiast, a joke about the British Jaguars and computers.

You know why the British do not build computers? Because they cannot figure out how to make them leak oil.

  3. I would rather see the 400 mothballed Challenger 1s which can be refurbished quickly and even if some are beyond use it would equip 3 armored brigades.

By all means use the Chieftain or any other piece of equipment Ukraine can get. But look at it realistically. Privately owned Chieftains are likely to be just a trickle and need at the very least an engine change if they keep the original Rolls Royce one. Amazing 120mm ,NATO standard, rifled gun though.

  4. My father owned an MGB. Anything manufactured by British Leyland should come with it’s own maintenance vehicle as part of the purchase price. 😳

  5. My money would be more on the Challenger 1. 400 of them in Jordan and they have mothballed them so if they are willing to release them its roughly a divisions worth of Armour. I am not sure how many Chieftains are left never mind those available being able to be brought back to operational levels.

  6. Triumph Spitfire owner here. Sounds on brand to me.

  7. I’ve driven one of these Behemoths…its solid kit made from proper steel…not this Russian monkey metal.
That cannon will cut through Russian armour like a knife through butter at a massive distance in the correct hands

  8. FFS, please let’s just give Ukraine Leopards and Abrams. There’s shitloads sitting idle in warehouses!

  9. In unrelated news, Germany has donated 250 Fokker D.VII to Ukraine
