So I signed up for a mix of 12 programmes and courses. the first 3 were courses each worth 7.5hp and the 4th was a programme worth 180hp. I was accepted into two of the first 3 courses alongside the programme, and then put in reserve for one of the first 3 courses. I picked “yes” to all of them.

Today I get an email saying I got the reserve position and that I was removed from the programme with the reasoning being that I’d be studying too many points.

Now, I was NEVER informed about the fact that I couldn’t study the three courses alongside that programme, I have never read nor been told anything about this, and I have especially not been notified that [antagning.se](https://antagning.se) could just remove you from a programme without even informing you or asking you.

I have re-signed for the program as I had the option to and removed one of the courses (and finally had the option to change the importance ranking of the programme to the highest one). but now it says “**HANDLÄGGNING PÅGÅR Sen anmälan**” and I don’t know if I will be placed in the very back of the line or if I will be getting my place back.

I will be contacting the university first thing tomorrow, alongside [antagning.se](https://antagning.se), and I have emailed them both to make sure that I will be able to get my place back.

It is too late to sign up for anything else now and I have already rejected the other offers I got from other universities. I also just signed a 6 month contract because I will need to move for this.
Does anyone know what the system is like? Will I be placed in the end of the list of am I likely to get my place back?

There is actually a lot of Information about this matter on antagning. Idk how you missed to read it especially when they let you know that you need to prioritize in which following you want to read the courses/programs. There is a limit of how many points you can study each semester. This is your fault and the uni you applied to won’t be able to do anything and you won’t get your place back because you already said yes to the 3 courses that are prioritized before the program. Hopefully a lesson learned till next time.
You can only be accepted to 45 hp each semester (something that I remember is stated very clearly at [antagning.se](https://antagning.se), at least when I applied some years ago), so if you have accepted three courses of 7.5 hp each, and you ranked all of them before the program of 180 hp, you will be removed from the program since that would cause you to study more than 45 hp.
Idk, you could perhaps call the university and tell them about your mistake, but I’m not sure that would help. If it’s a program with few people applying you might have another chance as you applied again, otherwise I’d say you’re fucked.
