Looks like we have an order in for 800, half of which should be in service in the next 24 months.
I saw one training the other day and they’re nice looking buses…a bit angular.
Hopefully they can get the planning permission for those charging points sorted out.
Not more stolen buses
Good news
For some reason it just seem so ingenious seeing both of them involved in the transport industry. He’s one third of the current in power government yet what’s being done just seems the bare and I mean bare minimum, and in my opinion the NTA just nueutred the transport industry and hampered the semi state companies when investing was the answer, also they can fuck off with this privatisationof public services.
fun fact some of the Dublin buses which were hybrids that had a fleet code of WH had the hybrid engines removed and replaced with diesel
its good to see wrightbus is thriving now that it is free of their lunatic secterian family owners
To sit in the same auld traffic. Until camera fine enforcement for cars using bus lanes is brought in (in place in proper cities for 20+ years) and more space is given to buses over mainly single-occupant cars in general, buses will remain shite.
They had a chance with network direct, but have blown it. Fancy new buses, new bus stops and shelters, new numbers for the buses even, but little to no actual infrastructure to improve services. Even the new public transport only bus gate isn’t enforced ffs. A few more 24 hour routes is the best we’ve gotten out of it.
But lots of stuff for ministers, quango executives and td’s to stand beside having their picture taken with though, and thats the main thing sure.
