  1. That’s such a disingenuous headline.

Really the story is an adult event was held without barring children and that they didn’t have a licence.

I was expecting a bare buckle underground ring or a dog fight or something!

  2. Things have gotten a bit more extreme since that wrestling match I saw at Pontins in Wick Ferry as a kid.

  3. Jesus,

I’ve seen worse injuries at a rugby match, hell I’ve received worst injuries during a rugby match.

Aslong as everyone is willing and competent I don’t see what it has to do with government bar local licences to make sure the venue is up to code.

  4. OMFG this ended up here, I know one of the participants in this match quite well and it’s been something that’s been discussed heavily within certain circles.

The promotor WAS fully aware of what the match entailed and what the performers planned to do and tried to wipe his hands of it only AFTER there was public backlash. The article seems to also state most of the blame went to the venue for allowing children in past 10pm which is a fair point, noone tried to hide how this match would go and it’s widely known both of the performers are involved in deathmatch wrestling and regularly attend similar events where similar happens in most matches.
