I hate to break it to you but Irish speakers aren’t exactly the most important people to warn in this situation…
My Dad used to make those for Kerry County Council. Sadly, he was sacked amidst theft allegations. We didn’t believe him at first, but when I checked the inside of his garage, all the signs were there..
I blame Offaly, they are just littered with Germans. It’s like Little Düsseldorf down there.
Sadly, theres probably more people who can comprend german in Ireland than irish. i know more of my 3 years of secondary education german than i do the entire time i was taught it from like 5 to 17

Imagine the mayhem if our roadsigns switched to Irish only overnight.

There are 80k native Irish speakers versus 800k German tourists.
Probably better to warn the tourists than the locals.
