They’ve been open about this for years: the goal is cutting spending.
Meanwhile people are ranting about “only criminals use cash”, which is super authoritarian.
But everyone seems to be ignoring the point that if a bank needs to get rid of ATMs, just to keep their profit margins high enough… That’s not a good sign for what’s coming next and doesn’t say “healthy company” to me.
Good. Cash needs to go. There is zero reason to carry it around, except for madame pipi. And fuck having to pay to pee.
