Why no information on deaths with Omicron. Or numbers of people in ICU with it?
It is late, but it needed.
I’m a referee in football in Wales and we’ve had games called off because of COVID outbreaks within the playing squads. It has absolutely spread at the grassroots levels – some referees have ended up catching it.
COVID protocols haven’t really been followed by the clubs as much as they had back in the summer unfortunately.
I love being back in football, I imagine many people do, because we’re getting reasonable crowds, even at the lowest tiers of grassroots – families are turning up and watching games, where they probably wouldn’t have bothered before. But that isn’t ideal right now basically.
Remember everyone. Get your jabs and adhere to all the restrictions, and we’ll all definitely get out of this…
Oh by the way, you’re going into a lockdown 2 years later for a handful of deaths and a couple dozen hospitalisations in a nation of 70 million people.
