Unfortunately, we also live in a world where people have their own pressing direct problems, that effect them RIGHT NOW.
I understand JSO activists desire for everyone to think about the future, and put that before their pressing present day problems. I understand the logic behind it. I understand that current problems will be massively outweighed by the issues caused by climate change in the future….And that they want people to be selfless and think about future generations….
But that’s not real. Like, that just won’t happen will it, in reality…
I hope that JSO realise that their actions, WILL make people angry at them. This will happen. No amount of desire, willpower, or dreaming will change this reality. You can explain the logic behind why they shouldn’t until you’re blue in the face, that will still not change human behaviour.
If JSO want to direct anger to the correct place, they really need to stop acting in ways intentionally designed to piss Dave from down the pub off…. Because we all live in the real world, and this is how real people react.
Part of being a leader, is learning how to manage real people, and their real emotions. JSO aren’t going to lead us anywhere.
Not with whatever dreamland these people live in.
I hope the police do go after him, and I hope he misses the birth of his child, first words, and first time walking.
Nah bloke needs to know that there’s consequences for assault.

They should, you can’t go around kicking people in the head. Get him charged.
The thing that surprised me the most was the lack of urgency from the other protesters when the guy was on the ground, having 10 types of shit kicked out of him.
