Probably a combination of the munitions themselves, the fact that they likely don’t have to treat them as a scarcity and what seems to be a growing lack of counter artillery on the receiving end. I smile as I picture the plane/train/truck line just hauling more and more of them to the front line. Fire em up!

    The M971 120mm mortars have been in use since at least December.

    Maybe they mean US cluster munition rounds?

  14. That’s a harrowing tweet. I mean, ultimately, those who don’t invade sovereign countries have a significantly greater chance of not getting bombarded with cluster munitions than those that do.

  15. US supplied cluster munitions perhaps, but Ukraine has been using Soviet ones since day one.

  19. Serious question: why does the Western world have to defend its decision to provide certain weapons? And why do they need press releases to give updates to the public on what is being used? Just let the people of Ukraine defend themselves by any means necessary.
