Jewish woman accused of antisemitism by Labour threatens to sue

  1. Many Jews who are opposed to the actions of Israel’s government often seem to get hit with the antisemitic label, along with accusations of being a “self-hating Jew”.

Of course, the IHRA guidelines also state that assuming a Jewish person to be inherently loyal to Israel is also antisemitic.

So, naturally, if the people making these accusations really cared about getting antisemitism out of Labour, then the first thing they’d do is leave the party, because they *are* the antisemites.

I guess this is the kind of confusion you can get into when you don’t actually care about Jews or fighting antisemitism at all, you just wield the issue as a club to bludgeon people you don’t agree with.
