Those were not EOKA B fighters, they were members of the Lyssarides Company, wearing their red berets, who operated as a paramilitary unit in cooperation with state forces during the 1963-64 events on mount Pentadaktylos. EOKA B didn’t exist at the time, some of those men were former EOKA guerillas and the Company was formed under the direct orders of President Makarios.
