How about when they order them to wear religious clothing etc, has khan thought about that?
Fighting against misogony is good but… what did I just read in that article? Is Sadiq Khan trying to be quirky or something?
Get all Muslims to start saying ‘maaate’ when their pals start talking a little too *extreme* as well then.
As a woman who experienced “a lot” of street harassment as a teenager, frequently from groups of teenage boys who were a few years older than me. I can clearly recall the few times when one of them uttered the phrase “Nah, leave her alone, man” or a variation of it. They took a really small action, but it had a significant impact on my day.
None of the men in my friend group would use sexist language. The issue is that if someone does, it’s likely that they belong to a friend group where everyone says or agrees with sexist crap.
Men ought to hold one another responsible. It isn’t complicated science.
