Well, it won’t feel out of place in Ostrava, then! 🙃 ^^^I ^^^kid! ^^^I ^^^kid!
It’s not ugly in my opinion. But I do think that in Europe we have such a beautiful architectural heritage and there is something to be said about trying to preserve that.
Not saying no modern style buildings should be built or that this one isn’t good, but I do understand what people feel.
Just a thought from the other perspective.
Conservation of older buildings and styles is a good intention. BUT seeing a lot of old buildings in my area rot because keeping them nice and functional without being able to change it in a way it would serve you well will cost you a lot of money. Money which most companies aren’t willing to pay when there is a better and cheaper solution.
Everything you want to make inside will be a compromise between costs and functionality cause the need from the past aren’t the need from today or tomorrow.
Keep that in mind when arguing against modern buildings in old areas.
It looks like a tumor
I think from above all of these could be ugly.

On its own it’d look cool, but don’t think placing it in the middle of the old building works very well
The inside is amazing the outside combined is a bit odd but I’m sure it will look better in person
