Why should that bridge continue to stand there? It’s really time to bring it completely down. It’s been completed for 5 years. The bridge opened in 2018 with hardly any criticism from the US or the EU. The fact is, it links the illegally-occupied, Ukrainian-owned Crimean peninsula with Russia, a terrorist state.
No legitimate permits = no bridge allowed

I agree with zelenskyy. Sadly bridges are a bitch to destroy and Russia knows that if the bridge is truly destroyed the entire southern defense is doomed and possibly the whole Russian army.
Why? Cut that logistic route and 1/3 to 1/2 of the entire Russian army in ukraine is out of supplies and under siege.
This will force an eventual surrender of most of Russia’s army to ukraine and all the equipment Ukraine will pick up from that surrender. This ignores the political blow of such a catastrophic defeat.
For those curious why a siege.
1. Ukraine pushes South to the sea of azov coast. No more land route.
2. Kerch bridge destroyed denies supplies into crimea and then up into the south sector.
3. Sevastopol and naval resupply is just not feasible big slow ships moving to pre assigned spots are too easy to hit.
4. Air? Lol Russia can barely keep up supplies by rail which is how their logistics is built on. They won’t keep up with air logistics. They ain’t the US. Further like sea fly into airports that will be easy to hit. Or once sea of azov coast taken a route for F16s using western AWAC data to fly out and chuck missles at slow moving cargo planes from 40 to 50 miles out.
These unmanned boats are great but they need more of a punch. Maybe turn the warhead into a 1000lb shape charge instead of just HE. Needs more punch

There’s the land railway link into Crimea, and this one. So much of Ukraine’s strategy in this conflict has been harassing Russia’s logistics capabilities.
If its time to put the pressure on Crimea, then knock this bad boy down.
Do it yesterday. Let the missiles fly.
