While the picture is beautiful in itself, why would anyone post a wintery picture during the hottest month in Europe in a Europe subreddit? Are you lost?
thought the thumbnail image was nuclear explosion
Cozy
I took this picture late at night or middle of the day (I don’t know exactly) but me and my crew were travelling through the arctic passage to deliver fish in Arkhangelsk and then Alaskan snow crabs to some rich European
We were travelling behind the “Yamal” nuclear powered Ice breaker from Chukotka
It was an extremely wet year and we got hit by the Siberian cold front pretty hard
I took this on the coldest night of the journey, -64°C where I Stayed on the Yamal and had it tow my fishing boat, as the Yamal believed they could better accommodate us due my vessel not being so prepared for such extreme cold
The Yamal had a heated indoor pool, a volleyball court, a massive library, a sauna and much more
The rooms on the Yamal were very comfortable, resembling something like a Dacha
This cat was actually a stowaway on the Yamal but I got to keep her, she is now the chefs assistant and food taster
