Ukraine developed its own medium-range air defence systems

    I will not name these developments now, they are now being tested, quite successfully. Missiles have already been developed.”

  2. Excellent. Ukraine should become self sufficient so they’re not at the mercy of the winds of political change in the West.

  3. Although there are quite a number of NASAMS systems on the way to Ukraine sadly it is a low volume production item and it may be 18 months yet before the total number of NASAMS confirmed to Ukraine (I believe 12 to 14 now) arrive.

    So if Ukraine can develop its own medium range system and start outputting functional units sooner, particularly one that might have some anti-ballistic capability then wonderful news.
