My cousin is looking to go to SETU this year in Carlow. Town of 25k people, a major college, 1 place to rent 2 months before the college year starts.

  1. 33 rooms to rent in the town on Daft if that’s any use.

    23 more rooms advertised for students on the SETU website.

    Don’t know if there’s much of an overlap there.

  2. Note to self, look into buying an investment property in Carlow

  3. It’s similarly bad in Kilkenny also. Their only hope unfortunately is to keep an eye on Facebook for rooms in shared houses. Even then it’s nearly impossible because obviously there’s a lot of new college students and many moving to Carlow specifically for it.

  4. It’s okay to expect more and for big business to pay more.
