If you could uncencore the first two letters of the numberplate, we’d have a better chance of guessing. Not that tourists don’t exist, but it would be a higher chance that they are a resident

Seems kinda like Austria’s Burgenland province, but wouldn’t say it’s Austria, my guess would be Hungary, close to the Austrian border. Also the car modells seem a little bit unfitting. In Austria you see a lot of “Kombi” type cars, or SUVs.
