Greek people are seriously some of the most generous people you will ever meet.
I’ve been on the receiving end of their warmth and kindness multiple times.
If you ever go to Greece, make an effort and learn just the basic words, please, thank you, I would like.. etc. It’s easy enough to learn and the alphabet too and just those basic words will endear you to them and will spark great interactions, yes, even if your pronunciation isn’t great.
Greek people love hearing non-Greeks speak their language.
*(Compared to say France where if you try, more than a few will sneer at your efforts and pick you up on every f&#king tiny inflection :)*
