  1. Since the article seems to be limited does it mention if this number has jumped so massively because it includes a backlog from over the Christmas period or something? I’d hope it does because said jump is pretty crazy, that’s like an extra 80,000 on yesterday.

  2. This is expected to continue so in most countries accounting on
    -highly contagious variant dominating
    -measures relatively relaxed during holiday times (especially if vax rate is high)
    -high population-movement

    thus I´m not saying that this is *good,* but at the same time it is fairly better than having high infection + high death rate

  3. If France is testing less than the UK, which I assume they are, the real figure is likely far, far higher.

  4. It’s ok guys, our government have it under control. With the new restrictions we can’t eat at cinemas so the case will go down soon don’t worry.

  5. Can you imagine if vanilla covid had hit us with omicron’s transmitivity and delta’s deadlines? We’d be experiencing Mad Max right now
