Stop fucking talking about record, it’s broke every day, and it’s not a competition ffs.
Wow, is that really from one day?
France going for the Omicron speedrun I see
Since the article seems to be limited does it mention if this number has jumped so massively because it includes a backlog from over the Christmas period or something? I’d hope it does because said jump is pretty crazy, that’s like an extra 80,000 on yesterday.
That’s what happens when a country is not vaccinated enough.
I am no expert but it looks more like a reporting issue.
Reported cases for the last two days, probably due to the holidays.
How on earth has France overtaken the UK on this, it’s like 50k more than our highest.
Holy shit
Can they unban the Brits now then..

idk why we still look at new cases when with vaccines there’s a low rate of ospitalizations
This is expected to continue so in most countries accounting on
-highly contagious variant dominating
-measures relatively relaxed during holiday times (especially if vax rate is high)
-high population-movement
thus I´m not saying that this is *good,* but at the same time it is fairly better than having high infection + high death rate
That’s insane.
French Monday figures, it’s like that since the beginning of the pandemic.
If France is testing less than the UK, which I assume they are, the real figure is likely far, far higher.
It’s ok guys, our government have it under control. With the new restrictions we can’t eat at cinemas so the case will go down soon don’t worry.
Nearly 0,3% of the French population
Can you imagine if vanilla covid had hit us with omicron’s transmitivity and delta’s deadlines? We’d be experiencing Mad Max right now
