An update on my Illustrative Hand-drawn Map of Europe and Turkey project as I reach the one year mark since starting this piece of illustrative map art. 234 hours of drawing time to-date. At my current pace I should be done in mid to late 2023. The size of the project is 101.6 × 81.3 cm. The map is based on a unique orientation that provides greater detail on Eastern Europe and Turkey. Folks interested can subscribe for updates on my website here: https://davidcookmapart.squarespace.com/
That’s stunning, well done. Pity you haven’t gotten round to Ireland yet. You better not leave us out!
It’s called Turkiye.
lol,is it so hard to accept us ? I guess we aren’t cool or christian enough to be called “europe” not that I care but you for some reason had to alienate us when you didn’t really have to.
Wow, my English is not good enough to describe how awesome this map is, I just love original big scale illustrations like this and details on Turkey is amazing, only thing more amazing than that is 234 hours of work and not one coffee stain. Very super well done, cant wait to see finished version!
