Brussels aims for zero traffic deaths by 2040 after missing 2030 targets
Zero traffic deaths is basically impossible, even with AI only cars… the only way to achieve that in a city is by making the city a “traffic free” zone and ban all cars, trucks, etc. and maybe even bikes, e-scooters, etc.
Aim for the stars…
Countries like Sweden, Norway, UK are pretty damn close really. The remaining death are mostly severe overspeeding single vehicle accidents (often alcohol related), motorcycle deaths, lorries colliding with cars, and then some bicyclists / pedestrian being run over by cars.
