Why not, and stay with me here, instead of convicting people for this we go after the people who are blinding tourists in the middle of Dublin? Surely that’s a better use of the judiciary’s time and the public’s money.

Didn’t the Garda representative at the citizens assembly say that no one is convicted of simple possession? Now going by his previous convictions they could be using it as a reasoning to get a local nuisance off the streets.
