Monopoly capitalism has found in the current European leaders its perfect bunch of quislings, collaborators, and Petainists to squeeze the peasants for monopoly profits.
I think the effects of this will be similar to the energy shock we had in the US in the 70s. That being that the EU will follow a path to energy independence. Nuclear energy would probably be the best way to achieve it imo but there are many alternatives.
