  1. Very interesting. Saying the source was senior and trusted. So if it really was Dame Alison Rose her position is untenable.

  2. Wish he had the magnanimity to apologise for the cost of living situation a lot of ordinary people find themselves in due to his Brexit lies

  3. Can we get a packet of egg-resistant face wipes over here for rUK please? Thanks x

  4. Come on BBC you’re supposed to be a trusted source of news – do better

But, Nigel is a nasty, racist old cunt 💁‍♂️

  5. Kind of funny the BBC apologises to Farage for being misleading but that goon has been misleading the British public for decades but has never once apologised for it. Some of the things he’s done are on the fringes of making him a fraudster or treacherous from his (non-)role to do with fisheries, never showing up to debates and this fake man of the people but has a Coutts account act he has going. Oh, and don’t forget pocketing foreign money for influence and wanting to move abroad despite this patriotic rubbish he blurts out.

Not a good look for the BBC but at least they apologised for this. Unlike a certain scummy red paper that rhymes with Scum.

Disagree all you want Ukippers. He has little sympathy from me. A serial liar who happens to have a lie published about him is still a serial liar.

  6. Well done BBC. You’ve managed to not only give Farage more ammunition to consider himself a victim, but you’ve also further damaged your reputation for impartial reporting. The Beeb doesn’t have a dog in this fight, there’s no reason why they couldn’t have just reported they had been told something by their source. But because it suited their pre-existing views (which imo are correct) that Farage is a shit they presented it as fact without qualification. Now they’re having to apologise to him.

I noticed this over the pandemic, the BBC is very ready to toe whatever line they have decided is correct and manipulate public opinion but are actually really bad at it and end up having to backpedal a ton (re the pandemic, their reporting heavily emphasised that early victims were elderly and had preexisting conditions, and led to young people considering themselves safe and so they had to pivot to scare stories about young people who’d been tragically killed by the disease purely to solve their own stupid decisions).
