That’s good news. I’m not quite sure why Mission Impossible semi flopped though? Seemed very well received.
Seeing an openly feminist film like Barbie do well is good, really good. Hopefully we get more stuff like this in the future.
Shock story, Hollywood has produced two fairly original and well-made films rather than Generic MCU #5,427 CGI-fest, people are actually interested and willing to spend money to go watch.
So many colleagues this morning were saying it’s the first time they’ve been to the cinema in years!
It’s been the first time in forever there has actually been excitement and discussion about new movies at work.
Both screenings I went to were a full house. Usually when I go to the cinema, there are about a dozen people maximum.
With the writer’s strike seemingly extending, expect cinemas to take a heavy hit next year.
Oppenheimer is an amazing film, watched it last night.
