    when was it last increased for the property?

    Needs to be a lot, or a long time ago to justify €40 a week though.

  4. my one bedroom flat went from 700 euros to 1,100 here in clare.fucking crazy. i work fulltime and still find it hard to get by.even worse is there no where else to go to.

  5. If a property is not in a RPZ, an increase is capped at 2% regardless of inflation?

    So either way the max a rent can increase by is 2%?

  6. Queue landlord evicting you because they need to do “renovations” on the house. Then re advertise the house for rent later on.

    Marilyn can’t just inform you of your rent increase via Facebook messenger. There’s a formal notification process she has to go through. There’s a range of documents she has to submit to you.

    DON’T HELP HER.

    She’s a landlord. She’s supposed to know what she has to do. You can tell her Facebook messenger is not the correct way to notify you of a rent increase. There’s a statutory process she must following. Let her figure it out for herself. You pay her rent. You don’t need to do her job for her too.
