Lithuanian government’s approval ratings lowest in decade

  1. President who is against “opportunity pass” retains high popularity.

Government which forces those covid opportunity passes on people drops to lowest approvals since decade.

Must be Belarus thing for sure.

  2. What restrictions have these guys imposed on the population? I’ve heard they’ve gone a bit crazy over there, but I’m not sure on the details.

  3. To be fair, I think the current government is simply way too liberal for the average Lithuanian. We had the same effect a few years back when alt-right surged to surprise of many, but the truth is, our society has fractured into echo-chambers to such a large extent that the more successful groups simply forgot how Eastern European we actually are. I even remember some of my Lithuanian friends writing to me and saying how poorly they look at Estonian government (which was justified, for that matter), but I wasn’t really buying the story of progressive Lithuanians back then either.

  4. The current government is far ahead of the curve for most Lithuanians.

Heck, I’d say it’s ahead of the curve for many in Europe too.

It is comparable to German Greens or Taiwanese DPP in their policies.
