This is painted on the inside of a sea chest that belonged to my grandfather. I believe it was his father’s who came to the states from Norway in the 1880s; all I know about him is that he was a sea captain. The first name fits but the last name is slightly different so I’m not sure if it was actually his or he just ended up with it somehow.
Basically – if anyone knows who might be able to help me find more info about this I’d be most appreciative e
