Hello guys, any help would be appreciated.
This is our last gas bill. We paid the previous bills(358+666, covering the period between january and april). As I understand, we consumed 105m3 for the first, 194 for the second, and 264m3 gas for the third(current)bill. But this is impossible because we almost never used gas for heating between 4th and 6th months. Am I misreading the bill? How can we owe 975 zloty for spring-summer? Thanks for help 🙏

There is also possibility that this is “estimated price”, due to some kind of prognosis.
You need to call them and ask why the price is so big.
Remember that is calculated for a half of year (01 JAN – 30 JUN), so 1626,56 / 6 = 271,09.
Also you are late, so there would be additional payment for being late.
(I don’t know how big)
As I understand it this values (358+666) were forecasted, not based on meter reading.
Now, after meter reading invoice is for value (real consumption – forecasted)

What I’m getting is as follows.
This invoice covers half a year.
It’s based on the actual reading of your gas meter.
The maths behind the owed amount (somewhat simplified) goes like that: it’s a settlement amount after calculating the total amount (volume used during the relevant period X price per unit) and deducting any partial amounts already paid for that period.
The two earlier invoices – paid and deducted from the total amount – were based on prognosed use and not actual readings. It’s typical for utility bills, it’s not illegal, and assumptions for the prognosis have to be made on the basis of previous use history. Makes settlements with tenants changing between meter reading periods bloody inconvenient, though.
Do you use natural gas for heating and water heating (boiler), not just for cooking? – to explain the relatively high use?
And was the apartment empty or not really used before January 2022? – to explain the low end prognosis vs high actual use?
Yes we use for heating and hot water. It is probably like what everyone says, the last reading is the real usage. There is nothing wrong with the bill. 🙏
This is for half a year. It was first time (during 2023) when real person went to check value of gas meter. Before it was prognosed, so assumption of using the same amount as in historical data.
