There are about 5 companies who exist to supply school books (plus some other academic publications). They’ve been on the hogs back for decades.

Why can’t books be open source? They could print them on that big new shiny printer 😉
No such thing as free school books. All this does is give a personal guarantee from the government to the publishers on tax payers dollar. They can literally publish a new book each year and print money for themselves through a pre agreed government order.
