The details of this case are horrific. She had already been raped by a different man previously, then was sexually assaulted and killed by her brother, only to have her body interfered with by another man. Horrendous.
Absolutely disgusting. One of the sickest crimes I’ve ever seen.
There has to be some kind of collusion/abuse ring involved here.
There’s no way she’d be raped, assaulted and killed by her brother, *then* the person who “finds” her body thinks “you know, while I’m here, I’ll have a go” all in the same day, even in such a depressing and deprived part of Scotland.
This is one of those news articles I can’t get out of my head. To be raped, and then just 6 months later sexually assaulted and murdered by your own brother, and then for the first man who finds your body to sexually assault it rather than report it to the police is unspeakably awful.
I have worked with care leavers and the amount of abuse and sexual exploitation literally every single female care leaver I worked with (and some of the guys too) have experienced is heartbreaking, and shames our whole country.
