Really quaint little town. Quite touristy but that’s to be expected. I spent a few days there back a few years ago with my girlfriend.
A great way to spend the day is to take a hike up to the Niederwalddenkmal and then continue down to Assmanshausen. From there hop on a ferry to take you back to Rüdesheim – but the cool thing is that it first goes a bit in the other direction to do a single stop at Burg Rheinstein, which is an awesome castle, before returning to Rüdesheim!
