How the hell does a party with almost no membership, no representatives even on local councils, end up with 400k worth of Gold? Surely this should be looked into at least given the limits on donations to parties in this country.
Just for reference, in Ireland, there is a ban on foreign donations to political parties. The legal maximum for anonymous donations is set at €100. The annual maximum for all donors is €6,350 per party and €2,540 per parliamentary candidate. How the hell does such a fringe party full of gold bugs, end up with so much cash?
What even is the point of SIPO, then? How did The National Party end up with €400,000 of gold bullion?
Shouldn’t the Gardaí or CAB get involved?
Does sipo need to be investigated.
SIPO is literally one of the most pointlessly organisations. They don’t do anything.
From leaking confidential state documents, dodgy land declarations, 400k in fucking gold the NP never declared.
What does a politician/party have to do for Sipo to get off of their arses?
Maybe because you actually have to get elected to public office before the Standards in Public Office can investigate ? Don’t get me wrong, it’s as dodgy as a three euro coin but they’re basically just an unelected group of nut jobs…
