This ain’t going away anytime soon, probably escalate until someone gets killed.
It is a bit ironic for these ultra-Christians to do this considering Jesus is mentioned more times than Mohamed in the Quran, and there is like crazy amount of overlap between Abrahamic religions anyways. Burning a Bible is banned in most Muslim countries due to this reason as well. I think right wingers on both sides would agree on a lot of things
Ultimately, I guess this is harmless way of a group showing other group that they don’t want them. There are real problems with integration of course but I feel they are getting played by Russian dissinfo elements to raise religious tensions in Europe.
Edit: I fail to understand the downvotes here, I didn’t say anything bad or good about anybody. I guess even hinting at similarities between Islam and Christianity is triggering for some people
It’s so crazy that everybody is concerned about the eventual consecuences of burning a book. Crazy world.
> Egypt summoned Sweden’s chargé d’affaires on Tuesday following the incidents but has not yet reacted to events in Denmark.
Did Egypt just woke up to an incident 2 weeks old?
They should be more careful when they were opening their borders to them…now it’s too late!!!
its like ‘our wackos trying to rile up your wackos’ in different countries where most people are just like ‘chill’.
Just discredit this lame effort by standing next to it and burn a Bible, too.
Right-wing extremists vs. right-wing extremists.
So goddamn stupid.
I don’t understand why burning any religious book is such controversial to the point people start protesting over it?
The best way to deal with this is ignore it
Just have a generic headline “attention seeker trolls over-reacter”; it gets the same information across without the drama
Good.
As a Turkish person, I have this dilemma:
On one hand I love seeing the Quran burning and I wish to see more of that, on the other hand the ones doing that are basically the same kind of people who go apeshit over a book being burnt in the end. Hard choice.

Btw yesterday in the UK, Birmingham England, A [Muslim Estate agent, Usman Murtza was jailed for 16 months for a vicious, brutal, extremely violent homophobic attack on a gay couple with a glass bottle and metal pipe…](https://www.thepinknews.com/2023/07/24/birmingham-usman-murtza-attack-gay/)
