  1. Recruitment is one thing, but Garda deployment is not great either, sending them off to Disneyland, instead of getting them to do evictions like they’re supposed to.

  2. This is the end result decades of Fine Gaels policy of class division, austerity, and the neoliberal asset stripping and destruction of our public services.

  3. By “keeping a low profile” do they mean to not claim to be Irish because their hamster loves to drink Guinness?

  4. Reap what you sow.

Maybe one of his over paid advisors has a plan, or maybe they have their own agendas.

  5. Take the money from RTE and give it to the Garda and see which has a better effect on the country.

  6. This is hilarious. American cities are 100x more dangerous than Dublin. Yes, they have more police, but they also have far more criminals and guns

  7. All of these PR disasters must really be hurting Varadkar and Fine Gael.

It’s not the people being assaulted that’s hurting them, I mean the words on paper spelling out how poor they are in government is what’s really hitting a nerve with them.

Oh well, they have more public funds for even more PR so they can pretend to do something about it.

  8. Pay the Guards correctly, and it wouldn’t be an issue…. nurses, guards & firefighters simple!
