Most likely, the U.S. will enter quietly. Because,All Russian subs will be eliminated quietly. Because poor maintenance has made them individually identifiably by our listening stations.
You know that Ukrainian Navy has a special ops squad at the very very southernmost tip of the Ukrainian coast, hiding in the bushes, with a bunch of anti-ship missiles, just waiting for a nice big fat juicy Russian target to get within range. They would love to take out this fancy new frigate that Russia just launched.
Send the BSF to meet the Moskva.
When this started I had the thought that if this escalates, it will probably be ignited by a naval blockade in the Black Sea. I hope I was wrong to a degree. If escalate as in Russia losing ships I’m ok with that.
