You didn’t understand the article at all. Kid drowned in the evening, was found at night.
A 10 year old can be out and about in Finland. There is no need for a parent to follow kids everywhere. The Kid wasn’t allowed to go swimming, but went on his own. Parents got worried when the kid didn’t come home when he was supposed to.
The parents are definitely not to be blamed in any way.
