Deliveroo drivers crowdsourced a risk map of the city two years ago. Sadly, they’ve known of these risks long before they reached mainstream attention. I’m sure much of it is open to debate, but it’s a starting point for understanding the city. google.com/maps/d/u/0/vie…

  1. A good chunk of the area of Clondalkin highlighted is middle class and definitely safe.

  2. Santry? I’ve not found Santry to be that bad at all, way worse places on the north side.

  3. None of those areas are really surprising.

It’s more surprising they left some areas out.

I guess Deliveroo drivers have zero problems in the Darndale area.

  4. The whole of Ballyfermot….Cherry Orchard part yes. But not the whole of Ballyer.

  5. >Sadly, they’ve known of these risks long before they reached mainstream attention.

I get why this map is useful for recent immigrants, but is the Twitter user suggesting that the Irish public has not been aware of antisocial behavior in the north inner city and some notorious suburbs until recently?

  6. I’d say local delivery drivers knew this well before Deliveroo drivers were a thing.

  7. All the “that area is actually not that bad” comments from total meat heads who can’t relate to what these delivery riders are facing.

Clowns who never cycled the parts at 11:00 pm with a giant reflector sign saying “I’m (probably) riding a expensive bike, I’m a foreigner and speak little English”…

But yeah, sitting in your rotten detached 3 bedroom, ordering pizza for breakfast… Sure bud… It NOT that bad.
