Ukrainian pilots are going to receive training on F-16 fighter jets in Denmark and Romania, while other locations are being considered as well, U.S. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said on July 26.
However, the official noted that other details of the training scheme are not yet finalized.
“The dates, the locations, the length of the syllabus, all of that is still being worked out,” Kirby said at a press conference.
good to have confirmation now!
suspiciously missing the countries that were most vocal about the F-16 alliance though
We’ve beeen talking about training for two months; why is this taking so long? Aren’t Air Forces already set up for training? Is it the language barrier? Instrumentation and manuals have to be translated? Finding bi-lingual trainers?
I think training has been happening for a while behind closed doors. This is all just information warfare to know let Russia know exactly what is happening
I’m really sick of the future tense when it comes to F16 training. I’ve heard it ad nauseam.
