Καλημέρα my Greek friends. I would appreciate your help on this matter because Cosmote customer service couldn’t solve my issue.

I have been out of Greece for a while, but always been able to get into the whatsup application to see my balance and top it up.

For the past several months it has become impossible. I do not receive the SMS code to log into the account.

I also tried adding my number to the Cosmote app, and still I do not receive the SMS confirmation code.

The “top up” page on the website does not open up for me.

I do not want to lose my number for several reasons.

Could someone please share some advice on how to log in and/or top up to save the line?

Probably they blocked incoming calls and that blocks incoming SMS as well for a reason. https://www.cosmote.gr/selfcare//jsp/topUp.jsp that’s their top up page it’s in Greek I didn’t find an English version but you put your number in select the amount of euros and you can pay by PayPal or card too.

  2. Ask from a friend in Greece to top it up in a Cosmote or Germanos shop.

  3. Check if you have access to the network (GSM signal), as you are abroads maybe you need to select another network of your country, as sometimes the parterships can change.
    (On Android, find Mobile Networks in the parameters)
    Also ask someone to send you a SMS on your number (or yourself from another mobile), to double check.
