The politicization of this matter is made as a last ditch effort for anyone willing to hear assist Armenian separatists in the continuing occupation of internationally recognized territories of Azerbaijan.

I have posted about this in the past. Like [other posts on the subject](https://old.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/15amp52/azerbaijan_statement_by_high_representative_josep/), they get downvoted heavily (that one is at 64% upvoted right now), and I have no illusions about who doesn’t want others to see this news.

Yesterday the Armenian government sent a [big convoy with 400 tons of food and medicine](https://www.asbarez.com/developing-400-tons-of-humanitarian-aid-headed-for-artsakh-reaches-armenian-checkpoint/) to the border with the minuscule hope that peacekeepers will be able to get it in.
Azerbaijan’s MFA has already made it clear that it will not allow the aid in, calling it a “[provocation](https://apa.az/en/foreign-policy/dispatch-of-car-convoys-to-the-sovereign-territories-of-azerbaijan-under-the-disguise-of-humanitarian-aid-and-without-agreement-with-azerbaijan-is-an-attack-of-sovereignty-of-azerbaijan-mfa-408466)” to send this food and medicine. They are also lying and saying that they have opened a different point of entry directly from Azerbaijan, which the Red Cross as we already established said is a lie. It also violates their agreement to allow free transit of people and goods from Armenia to Artsakh through the Lachin Corridor.
Meanwhile, there are many statements beint released that have made zero difference:

* The International Court of Justice has also on February 22 ruled that Azerbaijan must ensure the free transit of people and goods to Karabakh, which it reiterated recently.

The Lachin road got restricted because Red Cross employees got caught red handed trying to smuggle in contraband.
